Technically, Wayne Coyne started selling weed to his friends in 1977. But, with the creation of The Flaming Lips in 1983, he made a lifelong commitment to pushing boundaries in music, art, and general strangeness taking their awe-inspiring psychedelic music about love, drugs, and death from city to city, festival to festival.
